Hesselberg Group: Embracing new ways of working with AI

We’re excited to welcome another customer to the SEMINE family! The Hesselberg Group is set to transform its finance department by implementing AI and machine learning to achieve automated accounting.

The Hesselberg Group handles a significant volume of invoices each year and has been searching for a system to help streamline and automate the accounts payable process. As a leading provider of machinery and equipment to the construction and contracting industry in Norway, Hesselberg is a major player in its field. The company is involved in both sales and rental of construction machinery and is a significant supplier of forklifts. In June 2020, the company moved into a new, state-of-the-art facility in Lindeberg, just outside Oslo, covering 16,000 square meters.

Comprehensive Approach

The Hesselberg Group took a comprehensive approach to the SEMINE platform, working closely with CFO Ewa Grecka, Head of Accounting Elisabeth Falck-Ytter, and IT Manager Thomas Bach-Nilsen.

- For us, it was crucial to find a system that could learn through AI, where invoices are read at both the header and line item level. This allows the majority of invoices to be automated, seamlessly approved, and then posted without unnecessary clicks, says Falck-Ytter.

It was also essential that the system could handle orders from the procurement system and automatically match them.

Before finalizing the agreement, SEMINE and Hesselberg conducted several in-depth reviews of the SEMINE platform. Hesselberg was also put in touch with one of SEMINE's clients to gather insights. The company was closely supported by Sales Manager Jesper Elimar Krumm throughout the process.

- We are very pleased with the process leading up to our choice of supplier and look forward to seeing the results of implementing SEMINE, states Falck-Ytter.

Sales Manager Jesper Elimar Krumm led the client dialogue, with strong support from André Hellesvik on the technical side. - We are proud that Sigurd Hesselberg AS has chosen SEMINE as their platform for invoice processing. Given their volume and complexity, this is a vote of confidence that we are eager to prove ourselves worthy of.

- The process leading up to the agreement was characterized by good and open dialogue, where we were challenged on specific areas, which led to an even better result for AS Sigurd Hesselberg, says Jesper.

Synergies

- Hesselberg Group is also a client of KPMG, one of SEMINE’s partners, continues Jesper. It will be exciting to see if we can achieve synergies from this partnership, benefiting all parties involved. While this wasn’t the basis for the agreement, it adds an extra dimension that we look forward to exploring,” he concludes.
