The new partnership enables BDO to offer its customers all over Norway the opportunity to automate incoming invoice processing using the SEMINE platform.

- We have high expectations of this partnership.

 - We believe that artificial intelligence represents the future of automation in the accounting field, and we consider the SEMINE platform to be a technology-leading platform for the premium market segment, says Katrine Nygård, Head of BDO’s Department of Internal Accounting (pictured below).

- We believe that artificial intelligence represents the future of automation in the accounting field, and we consider the SEMINE platform to be a technology-leading platform for the premium market segment.

BDO is a leading consultancy firm in accounting and finance in Norway, with a total of 74 offices across the country. The company offers expertise in accounting, auditing and law, and has over 600 employees in the accounting business area, including more than 100 digital consultants.

- We are delighted to welcome BDO as a Semine partner.

- Scaling through partners is an important part of our strategy, and we want to work with the best in the industry. BDO has a significant market share, high visibility and a dynamism that everyone at Semine finds hugely exciting, says Inger Eek Tronerud, Partner Lead at Semine (pictured below).

Their focus on taking new technology into the market and helping customers on their transformation journey is also a very good fit with Semine’s ambitions.

The partnership will enable BDO to assist in setting up the SEMINE platform, integrating it with other systems and helping customers make full use of the platform.

Tronerud highlights BDO’s strong customer insight as one of their biggest advantages:

- Being able to get advice and help to improve their company from a partner that customers already know well, and who knows them, adds significant value. This allows BDO to focus on areas that create the most value for their customers, and so achieve greater success, she says.

Focus on value-added services

The accounting industry is characterised by many small companies with manual procedures. In recent years, BDO has focused more on consulting and value-added services, and helping customers digitalise and automate routine processes. Digitalisation provides a competitive advantage because it facilitates more efficient operations and improves profitability.

- We free up time to do tasks that both our customers and accounting personnel find more interesting and rewarding.

- Our teams of financial consultants, integration experts and digital consultants develop their own digital solutions and can put together bespoke solutions that perfectly match our customers’ needs, explains Katrine Nygård at BDO.

- Digital consultants are one of our key focus areas, as we can see that there are many people out there who need help with digitalising their businesses. So we are delighted to add the SEMINE platform to our toolbox.

- Not only can SEMINE help free up large amounts of time, the platform also improves the quality of the accounts, in turn facilitating better reports and new and valuable financial insights.

Working together at Mjøsbil

BDO have already gained considerable experience of the SEMINE platform through a shared customer, Mjøsbil AS.

Mjøsbil is a great example of what we can achieve together for our customers. BDO can use the SEMINE platform to improve the finance function, by giving customers access to the best and most forward-looking systems and providing better business insight, while eliminating manual tasks, concludes Inger Eek Tronerud.
