Semine and Ignite Procurement sign strategic partnership agreement
We are delighted to announce that Ignite Procurement has now joined the Semine family. The company delivers a digital cloud-based solution for strategic procurements and purchases.
Insight into purchasing data
Semine has entered into a partnership with Ignite Procurement, a SaaS company that provides a digital platform for strategic procurement. The Ignite platform turns data into insights and results, through features such as automated analyses, data enrichment and negotiation documents.
Just under five years have passed since Sigbjørn Nome and Børge Langedal quit their jobs at the Boston Consulting Group to build a digital procurement tool, a platform that enables companies to adopt an effective, strategic and fact-based approach to purchases. The company they formed, Ignite Procurement, has experienced rapid growth, more than doubling their headcount in the past year. The head office in Oslo now houses over 50 employees, and there are plans for further reinforcements in the summer. Ignite can boast companies such as OBOS, AF Gruppen, Borregaard and AutoStore in their customer portfolio.
Building partnerships
We are proud of our partnership with Semine! While we are revolutionising the procurement function, Semine is doing the same for the finance function.
- Our solutions are a very good fit, and together the platforms create enormous added value for our customers,” says Sigbjørn Nome, CEO and Product Director at Ignite Procurement.
- The in-depth insight down to line data on all purchase invoices can now be viewed, with a few keystrokes, on a dashboard, and these insights can be used to optimise costs and reduce the time spent on the purchasing process,” continues Nome.
Inger Eek Tronerud, Partner Lead at Semine, is also proud to finally be able to announce the collaboration.
- This collaboration expands our service offering and creates added value for our customers. Semine’s vision is to deliver the best platform for APIA (Accounts Payable Invoice Automation), and we need strong partners who can add value to the platform through promising add-on solutions.
- Our collaboration with Ignite combines world-class automation with rich data insight, which, as far as we know, is completely unique to the market, says Tronerud.
Maintaining an overview of and insight into purchasing data is an important part of any company’s purchasing process. Having line-level insight into all purchases across suppliers, departments, projects and per employee provides brand-new opportunities for purchasing optimisation. Invoice data can be used to identify cost-saving measures for the company’s purchasing processes.
- SEMINE, in combination with the Ignite platform, gives customers a detailed overview on a dashboard with just a few keystrokes.
This is an incredibly exciting collaboration, and we are looking forward to presenting this solution, which will revolutionise the purchasing and finance function, to the market,” concludes Tronerud.
