Uni Micro aims for new customer groups with SEMINE
Uni Micro expands the functionality of its best-selling financial system, Uni Economy. Through a new and closer collaboration with Semine, artificial intelligence can provide even more in-depth insights and automation in accounting work.
When Uni Micro launched Uni Economy in 2017, users quickly realised that the system is built on cutting-edge technology. This makes the solution powerful, fast and future-oriented, which remains an important advantage.
Our customers also highly value Uni Economy’s willingness to collaborate with external partners and openness regarding integrations with other systems that simplify companies’ daily operations. This helps business processes flow more smoothly. Now they are further enhancing the solution through a new, strategic collaboration with Semine.
New level
Uni Economy is a system for accounting professionals, designed to streamline tasks and simplify business processes for both internal accounting departments and accounting service providers.
- Our new collaboration with Semine strengthens Uni Economy as an end-to-end platform, expands the system’s functionality and provides more options for processing incoming invoices, says Sales Director Sverre Senneset at Uni Micro.
Semine’s pioneering use of artificial intelligence makes it easier for Uni Economy users to split invoices at item-line level and extract much more information than has previously been possible using standard functionality in finance systems. This information can be very useful for companies with a more complex organisational structure, or who are looking for more options for allocating and monitoring costs across different departments or projects.
- Another important gain from our artificial intelligence is the ability to perform more invoice processing automatically.
This means that both internal finance departments and accounting firms can handle larger volumes of assignments using their existing resources, and perhaps spend more time on consultancy, or finding other ways to utilise the full breadth of their expertise,” says Inger Eek Tronerud, Partner Lead in Semine (pictured below).
A strong platform
According to Tronerud, Semine believes the collaboration with Uni Micro provides an important opportunity to give even more companies new opportunities in financial and corporate management.
- Our solution provides information, functionality and other advantages that are essential for managing a business in increasingly uncertain and competitive times. Semine’s solutions are already widely used by many companies’ accounting departments, and we are now focusing on reaching out to both accounting service providers and the companies that use the latter’s services. Uni Micro’s extensive experience of ERP and partner ecosystems will facilitate more collaborations that provide customers with a wide range of best-of-breed solutions,” she says.
In other words, it’s a question of making the system useful for more and larger companies, while giving customers who already use Uni Economy better functionality and more opportunities.
- It is important for Uni Micro to choose partners who specialise in niche areas, and who can document that their skill sets complement our own expertise.
- This allows us to dedicate our resources to developing Uni Economy’s platform and core functionality, so we can collaborate with domain specialists to provide customers with more powerful tools in more specialised areas – precisely as in this collaboration with Semine, Senneset states.
